Her leadership abilities were further recognized with her appointment to the Colorado Judicial Institute board in 2021 and a prestigious appointment to the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission by Governor Jared Polis in 2018. In 2022, she made history as the first Latina appointed by Governor Polis as the State Fair Commissioner for Colorado's new Congressional District 8.
Her influence extends to behavioral health, serving on the North Range Behavior board since 2019, and she remains a dedicated advocate for the Democratic Party, holding the positions of First Chair and Outreach for Weld Dems since 2019, as well as First Chair for CD8.
